Municipal Court

Ohatchee Municipal Court is held the first Thursday of each month beginning at 8:30 AM. Traffic citations and/or appearance bonds will have the assigned court date listed.

Some traffic violations may be paid prior to the court date. If applicable, payments may be made in person during regular business hours, by mail, by phone, or online. Acceptable payment methods are cash, money order, certified check, and all major credit cards. No personal checks are accepted.

If paying in person, a guilty plea must be signed prior to processing the payment. The guilty plea is located on the back of the traffic citation or one can be printed for you at the time of payment. Anyone may bring the signed guilty plea and pay for you, but only you can sign the guilty plea itself.

If paying with a debit/credit card, online at Ohatcheeal.govtportal.com or via phone at 256-290-1222, you will need to have the citation number in order to access your citation. NOTE: a processing fee of 4.5% will be added when paying with a debit/credit card.

Continuances are only received by talking to the Court Clerk a week prior to the Court Date or by having your Attorney contact the Court.
